This is Wildcat country! Western Valley Middle School serves approximately 600 sixth- through eighth-grade students in Phoenix, Arizona. We are one of two middle schools in the Fowler Elementary School District #45 and share our campus with 500 pre-K through fifth-grade students attending Western Valley Elementary School.
Dear Western Valley Middle School Community,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! It is a joy to begin another year with our incredible Wildcat community. As we start this new chapter together, I’m filled with gratitude and enthusiasm for the opportunities ahead. Our staff is energized and ready to make this a year of growth and connection.
This year, we are proud to introduce our new mission: Ignite. Unite. Empower.
This mission will guide our decisions, our instruction, and our relationships as we work together to ensure all students are seen, supported, and successful.
We are also excited to launch a brand-new Flex Period into our daily schedule! Flex offers students an alternative to traditional recess—where they can dive into their interests, receive tutoring and academic support, or simply relax and recharge with friends. It’s a space designed to nurture both student well-being and academic success.
In addition, we’re expanding our elective offerings this year to include STEM problem-solving, robotics, drones, and choir! These engaging classes give students more opportunities to explore their passions, build new skills, and connect learning to the real world.
As always, student attendance remains critical to learning. Please help us by ensuring your child is at school every day, on time, and all day. When students are present and engaged, they are better prepared to grow, lead, and thrive.
We know that strong family and community partnerships are key to student success. Together, we will create a learning environment where every student is empowered to achieve their goals. Thank you for your continued support and for being a vital part of our Wildcat family.
